UPDATE June 6, 2018: EBSCO has retired its Ebook app; read this post for new instructions!

Here at the SVA Library, we subscribe to several databases from EBSCO, including the Academic eBook Collection. Using that collection has just gotten easier - EBSCO has released an ebook reader app! The app enables easy discovery and simple download capabilities from our library collection to any mobile device, and a best-in-class reading experience.

Download the app from the iTunes store, Google Play, or from this FAQ for Kindle Fire and Nook. Once in the app, tap "Find Books" to begin searching. You'll first be directed to find the School of Visual Arts by navigating through Country and State dropdowns, and a long A-Z list. There is no search function yet for finding our institution, but that will hopefully change in future updates. Once you've found our school from the list, you'll be dropped into a search window where you can browse or search for ebooks.
In order to download books to your device, you'll need to sign into your MyEBSCOhost account - which is used to store items from various EBSCO databases - or you can create a new account from in the app.
For more information and a video tutorial, visit EBSCO's eBooks Audiobooks Support Center.
If you're having trouble using the app, ask a librarian, and we'll be happy to assist.
